| Review: | Finding land to build a brewery in San Diego is difficult…let along waterfront property. Eppig Brewing is therefore somewhat of a unicorn as it is a stand alone building located directly on the Regatta Walk overlooking American’s Cup Harbor in Point Loma. The building itself can best be summed up as being “small but mighty”. The interior is space is light and modern with a tall vaulted ceiling, skylights, exposed structure, and modern finishes. Large garage doors open up to create an indoor-outdoor connection to the harbor. Snacks are available to purchase or feel free to order food from one of the local restaurants and soak in the view. Locals tip: The always popular Point Loma Seafoods is a mere 2 minute walk away!
The majority of the seating is on the exterior patio so this might not be the best fit on a rainy day. This is also not the place to come watch your favorite team on the big screen, as TVs are limited, or to play a game of cornhole. Rather Eppig is an epic place to come soak in the amazing San Diego weather while gazing out over the harbor or spending the day people watching. The architecture is modern with a combination rainscreen and standing metal panel exterior. The nautical theme is further enhanced by the use of shade screens that mimic the masts of the surrounding sailboats.
