| Review: | Hanger 24 in Irvine is quintessential Orange County. Located within a 90’s business park, one is guided into the interior courtyard by a large American flag draped between two adjacent buildings. Passing under this flag the unassuming office building begin to fade away revealing a multitude of different scaled spaces and uses. A modern serving pavilion, shipping container bathrooms and contemporary trellises and shade structures create a whimsical counterbalance to the surrounding 90’s architecture. The large exterior courtyard is broken down into a variety of spaces both large and small. From a spacious open turf area, perfect for large parties and a game of cornhole, to smaller more intimate gathering spaces Hanger 24 has it all. There is a covered TV area perfect to catch a sporting event or come for a movie night during the summer. I visited on a Thursday night and scene was vibrant and lively with locals just getting off of work as well as young families.
Hardy bar food and drinks are ordered at the indoor counter and then picked up outside upon notification making for quick seamless service. The restaurant and bar area celebrates Southern California “indoor/outdoor living” with large sliding doors pouring out onto covered patios spaces. I would say that 70% of Hanger 24’s usable space is exterior space, so this is the perfect brewery to come and enjoy on a beautiful Irvine day or night. |
